- Calculate distances to nearby WiFi hotspots and restrooms
- Provide compass-based directional guidance
Important: We do NOT store, transmit, or share your location data. All location processing is done locally on your device.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Location history
- Any data that can identify you personally
How We Use Information
Location data is used solely to provide the core functionality of the app - showing nearby WiFi hotspots and public restrooms. This data:
- Is processed entirely on your device
- Is never sent to our servers
- Is never shared with third parties
- Is not stored after you close the app

FreeMap uses the following third-party services:
- Map Tiles: We use CartoDB/OpenStreetMap for map display. These services may collect anonymous usage data according to their own privacy policies.
We do not use any advertising networks, analytics services, or social media integrations.
Data Storage
All app data (including cached location data for offline use) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store user data.
Children's Privacy
FreeMap does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages.
